December last year, I was visiting some friends in Saigon and I was amazed by the very creative, colorful street lights showing off the city center to celebrate the New Year 2013. This year, I will be there again and I am expecting a blast with my travel companion, Mateo and his family. Unlike the north, the south celebrates Christmas as one of the most important holidays of the year. HCMC is an open city when it comes to culture, food, people, education and so on...locals are very friendly, liberated and open-minded.
